These are a few words of inspiration I like, I find them and many other 'bon mots' or
good words soothing to contemplate when I a, working and think a small collection of
such sayings is a useful focus for this workshop.
On a practical level we will be learning to make lightweight, woollwn felt and then
exploring methods of incorpoartaing text into it, so plaes take a few moments to
collect a dozen or so sayings or quotes you enjoy.
Experience with felt masking is not necessary- we will cover all the techniques
necessary to create lightweight, textured felt and discuss additional methods useful
for a felt maker such as dyeing wool and silk, sourcing of materials etc. We will then
exp[lore methods to incorporate text into or onto the surface of the pieces.
